Press Release: Stauber Applauds State Legislators Work in Placing Veterans Home in Bemidji
September 24, 2018
HERMANTOWN- Pete Stauber joined Bemidji area veterans and friends in thanking state legislators for their tireless effort in working to place a Veterans home in Bemidji at a community celebration event today. As a husband to an Iraq War Veteran, Pete understands the struggles our veterans face everyday and has made it a priority for his campaign for Congress to deliver on the promises made to our veterans.
“When our veterans enlisted, the government made them a promise that we would take care of them when they returned home,” said Stauber. “In Congress, that is a promise I intend to keep. Our veterans should not be waiting years or traveling far distances from their communities in order to find a veterans home that is available. We need to continue to open up veterans homes, like the one in Bemidji, across our nation so that we can keep our promises to our veterans. I applaud our great state legislators in working hard to make sure this need becomes a reality.”
