Stauber Statement on National Police Week
May 17, 2018
HERMANTOWN, MN – Thursday, endorsed Republican candidate for the 8th Congressional District, Pete Stauber, released the following for National Police Week.
“This week, May 13th through May 19th, marks National Police Week; a week in which we remember those who gave the ultimate sacrifice and honor those who continue to serve and protect our communities. Every day, law enforcement officers put their lives on the line to protect our families, neighbors and community. I am forever thankful to those individuals and their families for their service. Last year, 129 officers died in the line of duty in the United States, including one individual from Minnesota: Officer William Allen Mathews of the Wayzata Police Department. I ask that you all join me in continuing to pray for our law enforcement and recognize our men and women in blue. As a retired law enforcement officer of 23 years, I will always support our law enforcement and ensure the men and women who have dedicated their lives to this service have the tools they need to keep the public safe. Rest assured, I will always have your back.”
